THERAPY, CONSULTING, COACHING

Michael J Heidtman, MSW, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in individual and couples therapy. I am married with 3 children and have served in Iraq in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I obtained my Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison with a concentration in mental health. When processing emotional pain and suffering from the past it is important to have a skilled professional that can navigate these thoughts and feelings in a constructive way. It is a passion of mine to walk together with others in a collaborative way to seek emotional wellness and continued growth that often leads to satisfying life changes.

I provide a nonjudgmental space in which you can take an honest look at what cycles continue to occur within daily life while creating positive change that can lead to a greater sense of understanding along with appropriate coping skills. I focus on understanding each person's individual experiences and life perception to create lasting and meaningful change. I welcome clients from a wide range of backgrounds. I strive to create a non-judgmental and comfortable environment where clients are empowered to improve the quality of their life. I have worked the past 13 years for various agencies providing mental health counseling to children, families, couples and combat Veterans. I am unable to provide individual or couples counseling at this time to combat Veterans.
